In preparation for the exhibition in April 2016 we've put a call-out for Fowler's lids. I'm collecting old rusty broken ones - only unusable. It's ambitious but we'd like to attempt to get hold of over 700, one for each of the settlement blocks at Red Cliffs. The lids will be used in a work exploring domestic life. Fowlers jars were commonly used at the time to preserve seasonal fruit and vegetables and were a common household item found on the blocks. If you have any leads on where we can find more destined for the bin please let me know - hopefully we can collect enough of these broken old lids to make the work to happen!
